Columbus Brewery District Commission
The Brewery District Commission and the Brewery District were established by Ordinance # 504-93 in 1993. The Commission Guidelines were adopted in 1996.The Brewery District Commission consists of seven (7) mayoral appointees who serve without compensation. It is the duty of the Commission to preserve, protect, and enhance the unique architectural and historical features of the Brewery District. The Commission considers applications and issues Certificates of Appropriateness for exterior alterations at properties within the Brewery District boundaries, pursuant to Columbus City Code chapters 3116 and 3119 and the Brewery District Guidelines.
Meetings:
Regular meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of the month in the Community Training Center, 109 N. Front Street at 6:15 pm.Meetings are subject to cancellation or rescheduling. Business meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of every month in the First Floor Conference Room, 109 N. Front Street at 12:00 pm.

Columbus Development Commission
The Development Commission shall have all of the powers, authority and duties granted to it by ordinances of council, and by Section 713.02 of the Ohio Revised Code, to the extent that the same are not in conflict with the Columbus City codes, the charter, or with ordinances or resolutions heretofore enacted by council. The Development Commission shall also serve as an advisory body to the Director and the city council in matters related to the preparation, execution and administration of urban renewal development, rehabilitation and conservation plans.
